Please view here the Jewish wedding ceremony entrance for Liz Beresh and Brett Arnkoff. The wedding was Sunday, July 3rd.

Each and every one of the wedding ceremonies that we capture memories in motion from are special and unique. Jewish weddings as a group are absolutely fascinating to watch and moving if you are aware of traditions that go back literally thousands of years.

When it is possible we like to present quick and simple video elements from a wedding mere days after the event. We are pleased to be able to do such with the wedding of Liz Beresh and Dr. Brett Arnkoff. Presented here is the entrance for their wedding ceremony. The wedding was Sunday, July 3rd. Running time is about ten minutes for this brief video. If you are up on your Bible history and traditions, see if you can identify actions in it that you can trace to God’s Word.

Last year we wrote up a blog post on why we think you should book a party bus for your wedding day transportation in Detroit instead of a stretch limo. This is just a reminder that we urge you to avoid those stretch limos. They may look really kool but they break down routinely. Last year we were at two Detroit weddings where the guests in the sanctuary waited patiently for 30 minutes for the bride to arrive late due to a limo breakdown.

Book yourself a party bus!

Often times at weddings we take particular notice of other vendors who are especially helpful or who are noticeably mindful of serving the client with excellence. In many cases it is a simple matter to adapt an element of the client’s video to become a promotional video for such a vendor. Presented here is an example of a simple promo video filmed at the Mansion at Pine Knob in Detroit, Michigan. The colors in the film are magnificent!

With just a few basics in hand you will speak your wedding vows with confidence and forget about the world around you.

Not many people realize that when you look good on video you also feel at ease and comfortable during its capture. For a number of years we would capture weddings in the Greater Detroit and Lansing areas and see some common threads that were negative elements in the video. As a result we started counseling couples before the wedding so that they could avoid those pitfalls. In so doing, the video we captured for those couples not only looked so much better, but they felt at ease and ready to meet all of the challenges at the altar. You would think that if they were concentrating during the vows on what their videographer told them, that they would miss what the entire wedding ceremony was all about. This is not the case at all. By understanding these things before reaching the altar, our couples are able to actually forget about the videographer and everyone else during the ceremony.

One of the things we counsel our couples on is how to speak their vows with comfort. For example, it is only natural for you to look at someone who is speaking to you. This can be very distracting during the vows if the couple has not thought it through first. We also talk to the couple about how to breathe for comfort at the altar.

Presented below is an example of a couple married earlier this year. The acoustics in a hall with a marble floor and marble wall facades was difficult but view the video and listen to the way the vows were spoken.

Most videographers and photo-graphers have a clause in their contracts regarding what is expected at the wedding reception with regard to dinner. Videographers usually work eight to ten hours on the day of a wedding in an environment where they are physically and mentally active. He will want to grab his dinner in the opening minutes when dinner is first served since this is usually the one time during the reception when nothing is happening. It will be an advantage if you can make arrangements such that your videographer eats either in the same room as the guests or within visual range of reception activities. In this way he can keep an eagle eye open and be ready to jump into action to capture memories at a moment’s notice.

If it will help, we at W. Cardone Productions will have your videographer wear a tuxedo at no additional charge.
